Fa-vas provides technical design services for residential, commercial, and retail architectural and interior design projects, relying upon 20 years of UK-based expertise, combined with a deep understanding of Building Regulations and its role of a Principal Designer.
Fa-vas offers support to Architects and Interior Designers acting in any capacity, including as Principal Designers, from RIBA Stage 2 - Concept Design, to Stage 4 - Technical Design.
The support services can be an one off engagement for individual projects or retainer engagements, with minimum 6 months terms, designed to provide consistent and reliable support. All support is provided by experienced professional, working within British Standards.
Conceptial Design
This service pack focus on preparing the intitial design concepts and architectural responses to the project brief.
INCLUDES:Initial consultation to define needs, expectations, deliverables, and time frames.
Brainstorming session to define the project brief and its translation into a design and form, look and feel.
Developing the design concept and spacial arrangements for feasibilities studies.
Coordinating with initial structural and building services designs to integrate core systems.
Finalising the initial project brief into a more detailed document.
Regular feedback meetings to keep alignment with client’s expectations.
Spatial Coordination
This service pack focus on finalising the Architectural and Engineering designs to ensure they are spacially coordinated before planning application is submitted. It bridges the gap between the initial concept and the detailed technical design.
INCLUDES:Initial consultation to define needs, expectations, deliverables, and time frames.
Developping the feasibility design into preliminary design pack for other disciplines consultation.
Coordinating systems designs, aligning structural, building services, and architectural designs.
Preparing planning design pack for formal planning application submission to the local authority.
Updating design pack for cost alignement to ensure the project remains within the stablished budget.
Finalising the building’s appearance, layout, and scale into a fixed design pack.
Regular feedback meetings to keep alignment with client’s expectations.
Technical Design
This service pack focus in translating your project’s fixed design into a rigorous set of construction instructions. The primary goal here is to produce a fully coordinated package of information, including drawings, specifications, and schedules, sufficient for tendering or construction.
INCLUDES:Initial consultation to define needs, expectations, deliverables, and time frames.
Ensuring architectural, structural, and building services designs align without clashes.
Drafting detailed specifications.
Ensuring that the design pack communicates all relevante building regulations compliance before application, to ensure safety and legal standards.
Integrating input from specialists subcontractors.

Retainer Engagement
A retainer engagement is ideal to provide a consistent and reliable support for clients with multiple projects running concurrently. This form of support suits clients that need the extra resource due to work increase, or need of staff covering, without long term commitment.
